Education and specialist training in the epidemiology of respiratory allergic diseases, the immunological background of allergy and the opportunities of specific allergy diagnostics, allergen exposure/avoidance and allergen specific immunotherapy is of crucial importance to understand and handle the very significant increase in the number of allergic patients. For the benefit of allergic patients, EAMG is committed to support educational activities that deals with training in allergy and ensures that basic knowledge is optimized and implemented in the daily praxis of the diagnosis and treatment of allergy.

Educational programs such as “Allergen specific immunotherapy – state of the art: from evidence to practical approach” will ensure that participants bring back and implement into their daily work knowledge about the importance of allergy and the underlying immunological conditions as well as knowledge about ways of handling respiratory allergic diseases with focus on allergy and not only the symptoms.

Insight into allergen extracts, different application forms and opportunities with combinations of different depot and adjuvant formulations will be obtained. The benefits and needs for establishment of manufacturing and clinical quality assurance will be included in the program.

Allergic patients

EAMG also intend to collaborate with patient organizations to develop educational programs for allergic patients in order to make them understand their disease better and prepare for an optimisation of treatment.
