Sponsoring activities of the EAMG

  • EAACI
    The EAMG has recently entered into a contract of co-operation with the European Academy of Allergology and Clinical Immunology, the EAACI. The co-operation started on the 1st of April 2005 and is concluded for a period of 24 months.

    The main aim of the co-operation is to raise the awareness of the possible benefits that can be gained with diagnostic and therapeutic allergen products in general and with allergy vaccines for specific immunotherapy in particular.

    The EAMG provides the EAACI with an Educational Grant to meet this purpose.
    Besides, most member companies support and sponsor the EAACI by other means as well.
  • ITIG
    The EAMG has sponsored the Immunotherapy Interest Group (ITIG) of the EAACI. The initiative of the ITIG to publish an Educational Program for Immunotherapy was worked out by Task Group 25 under the chairmanship of Dr Emilio Alvarez-Cuesta.
    The final report of the Task Group, entitled: “Standards for Practical Allergen-Specific Immunotherapy” will appear in Allergy soon.
  • ARIA, Allergic Rhinitis and its Impact on Asthma.
    One of the initiatives of the ARIA NGO has been the composition and distribution of a brochure and a corresponding pocket guide, entitled: “ARIA in the Pharmacy. Management of Allergic Rhinitis Symptoms in the Pharmacy”. This project was co-sponsored by the EAMG with an educational grant.

  • IPAG, International Primary Care Airways Group.
    The International Primary Care Airways Group, the IPAG has recently finalised its project aimed to provide primary care physicians of help in the diagnosis and management of asthma, COPD and rhinitis. This project was co-sponsored by the EAMG with an educational grant.

    The final report, entitled: ”IPAG DIAGNOSIS AND MANAGEMENT HANDBOOK. Chronic Airways Diseases. A Guide for the Primary Care Physician” will become available soon.
