OBJECTIVES
The overall objective of the EAMG is to promote a favourable climate for allergen products so that the diagnosis and treatment of allergic diseases can benefit patients.
- Raising public and health authorities' awareness of the benefits that can be gained with specific diagnostic and therapeutic allergen vaccines.
- Establishing an identity as an allergen vaccines segment within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Influencing the regulatory environment to introduce uniform implementation of regulation to all allergen products.
- Supporting relationships with professional, academic and regulatory bodies at a European and international level by:
- Stimulating research and the continuous improvement of allergen products and new technologies.
- Continuous improvement of industrial quality standards.
- Support of educational programmes aimed at optimisation of allergology as a medical speciality.
- Increasing liaison with national and international pharmaceutical industry associations.
- Developing educational programs for allergic patients aimed to a better understanding of their disease, its specific diagnosis and treatment.
